My most favorite family. Ever.

Yes.  It’s these four people.  My sister, brother-in-law and their two kiddos. My most favorite family. Ever! For this year’s session, we got together at Bandana Square in St. Paul.  This was one of the few places in St. Paul that still had some leaves left on the trees!

Family of Nine!

Friends!  I have to admit I was a little nervous going into this session…you know, with seven children.  Mom said it would be a photographic miracle if we can get uncooperative teenagers and lots of high energy kiddos to cooperate.  Well, scroll down and take a look…what do you think?  Was it a photographic miracle?…

Lake Elmo Family FUN!

Oh, this family! Mom and I met through church when she was newly pregnant with their twin boys.  Since then, their family has grown by one more! They are all a blast to be around – silly, playful, kind and so much fun! Thank you so much, A and S, for inviting me to photograph…

Hugo Family of Four!

The last time I saw this family – a little over a year ago – their little girl was still in her mama’s belly!  Fast forward a year and here they are, big brother playing peek-a-boo with his now one-year old sister! Big brother is so expressive and super smart (I mean what kid his…

Southern Minnesota Family Fun!

This family is no stranger to my blog!  I am the luckiest and get to photograph them not once, but twice a year.  You can check out the girls’ last photograph session here.  Spring photo sessions are for sisters and fall photo sessions are for family! We met up in Faribault, MN and explored a…

Family Fun at Lebanon Hills Regional Park

Today, I am delighted to share my second cousin’s family with you! She recently moved to the Twin Cities to begin law school, and when she learned that I was a family photographer, reached out to schedule her family’s session! J coordinated her family’s outfits beautifully!  Sometimes this can be most stressful for parents.  I…

Why I Sell Prints

Why do I sell prints? Great question! First, I love that they are tangible.  You can hold them.  You can display them.  You can give them as gifts. Second, I love that prints preserve memories and can be seen and enjoyed every day when displayed in your home. Images in the cloud, on a hard drive,…

Cretin-Derham Hall High School Senior

I am thrilled to share a senior session with you today! This young man is a senior this year at Cretin-Derham High School in St. Paul, and has big plans that involve flight, ROTC, college and the military.  When we were visiting during his session, he was explaining what he’d like to do and I said…

Looks Who’s One!

It is hard for me to believe that this little munchkin is already ONE year old!  But, she is. She has changed quite a bit from when she was a newborn. One thing that hasn’t changed?  Well she is still sweet as can be! Mom, dad, little R and I had fun at Lebanon Hills…

Ojibwa & Polish Wedding Ceremony

I had the privilege of taking some photographs of my friend and former neighbor’s wedding.  Their ceremony and reception beautifully honored their two heritages: Wendy is Ojibwa, so they had a traditional Ojibwa wedding ceremony, and Mark is Polish, so their reception had excellent Polish food! The couple wanted to recreate some of their parents…
