I love your work, but am not sure I can swing full payment at this time. Do you offer a payment plan?
Yes, I am more than happy to set up a payment plan with you for photography products! Photography is an investment, and I understand that making a couple smaller payments can be easier on the pocketbook. Please contact me for more information.
When and how do I pay you?
A non-refundable $100 session retainer is due at the time of the session booking to secure your place on my calendar. The balance of the session fee is due on or before the day of the session. Payment for photography products is due the day of your personal ordering consultation. If you choose a payment plan, the product balance will be due before artwork is delivered. Cash, check and PayPal are accepted.
When should I schedule my session?
The earlier, the better for all kinds of sessions! If you want fall family photos, contact me a couple months ahead of time to secure your date. Maternity sessions usually happen between 32-36 weeks gestation, and booking a couple months ahead of time is best. If you plan to do newborn portraits, please contact me as soon as possible to schedule a “tentative” date based on when your little one is expected to arrive. Newborn session dates are flexible depending on baby’s birth date!
My child is sick. Can we reschedule?
Yes; please let me know at your earliest convenience! I get it – nobody wants to have their photos taken when they’re sick 🙁 We can definitely reschedule.
You’re sick? What do we do now?
Believe it or not, I do on occasion get sick (just like you!) I take my work with you very seriously; if I am sick and unable to be my best self and deliver my best work, I will reach out as early as possible so we can reschedule. Plus, I don’t want to be the one that gets your family sick.
What if I’m late to my session?
Please let me know as soon as possible if you are going to be late for your session! A few minutes late for a family session is okay. And, I offer even more grace for newborn sessions. Unfortunately, though, I do not extend the length of a session to accommodate tardiness. If you are more than 20 minutes late to your scheduled session and have not let me know, I consider you a no show and reserve the right to pack up. Please remember session retainers are non-refundable.
Wow – you are taking A LOT of pictures! Do I get all of them?
Sorry, but no! I take lots of images to ensure I don’t miss that perfect, picture-worthy moment. After the session, I cull the images to eliminate duplicates, blinks, images that are not up to my standards, or where I have missed focus or composition. Each image is then carefully edited. Trust me when I say I present the BEST images from your session to you!
How long will it take to receive my images?
Within two weeks after your session, you will see fully-edited images during your personal ordering consultation at my studio. Purchased digital images are available to take home the day of your viewing (yeah!). Purchased signature art pieces will be delivered to you about 3 weeks after the consultation.
What is a personal ordering consultation and do I have to do one?
This is where the fun happens! Truly. This is where we bring your images to life! At this consultation, you will get to see images from your session for the first time. You will bring your ideas about where you’d like to display your images as art in your home, as well as measurements of the space. I will share ideas on how best to display the images and show you products. You select frame styles and finishes, album cover materials, and you choose which images and signature art products you would like to purchase. You will get to create your own collection from products like framed fine art prints, gallery canvases, hand-designed albums and digital images.
Can you remove a scratch or cut from my child’s face?
Yes! I will do my best to remove small cuts, bruises or blemishes visible on anyone in the images. If there is something of particular concern, please let me know. Please know that I only retouch things that would naturally heal/go away in a short amount of time. Sorry folks, but I do not do body contouring. You are beautiful just the way you are!
It’s raining (or cloudy, cold, snowing, lightning!) What do we do now?
The weather in Minnesota can sure be unpredictable! I am happy to shoot outdoors on a cloudy or cold day, however, if there is a 50% or greater chance of rain or snow, I will ask that we reschedule.
Do you travel?
Yes, I do! I am happy to travel up to 15 miles to whatever location we decide upon. If the location is greater than 15 miles from my studio, a mileage fee of $1/mile to and from from my studio applies.
Do you offer mini sessions?
Yes! On-location family mini sessions are available. They’re focused just on your family. Because they’re short and sweet, we won’t have time for all of the different groupings we do in a full session. You can expect images of your family (all together) as well as children (all together). Sorry, but these sessions are not for extended families.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! The gift of photography is the best gift to give and receive. The gift certificate is beautifully-designed and packaged – ready to surprise your favorite person! Please contact me for more information.

So glad you asked – yes! I would be most grateful if you would tell your friends about Jennifer Celine Photography. When they book a session with me and tell me you referred them, they will receive a complimentary 8×10 frame with 5×7 print, and so will you with your next session!
